Hey, Rule.
Would you mind helping me with my magic systems? If you want it, I could help too. I'm going to need your help too. I'll post my ideas in a while, but you can read my reply to Rule if you want me to clarify what I mean by the magic systems.

Sure. What kind of help do you need? I've decided that only three of the countries will use magic systems (Del'Jor, Xain and Daltune). With a kind of were-animal magic for Del'Jor, the element bending for Xain and a magical beast summoning for Daltune.
I have going to post what I had on them and ask for you're and Myth's thoughts.Sounds good.

Del’Jorain Shapeshifters:
The Way It Works:
Choose one of these animals: Bear, Wolf, Wolverine, Fox and Boar.
You have three forms: Normal, Halfman, Beast.
Normal: just like you described your character in the bio.
Halfman: your character halfway into the transformation. E.G. “Boomer’s body changes so that it has a wolf’s head, claws, tail, senses and strength.” Like a classic storybook werewolf.
Beast: A dire form of the animal you’ve chosen. E.G. “Boomer changes completely into a wolf the size of a small horse.” Like a Direwolf.
*To learn this, it takes 20% a day, unless the character’s magic is chosen as this*

That sounds interesting. What kinds of limitations are you imagining on its use (cooldowns, etc.)? Would characters be able to learn multiple transformations?

The countries would be allied, but might still attempt to subjugate the other cities in it's country, boosting it's lord's wealth, like medieval Britain.

In general, looks fun. but why stop there? Why not add a snake or two, a crocodile, a Giant Eagle, maybe even a Dragon (of a similar type as those in the Original RP, which aren't that powerful as far as dragons go.). How many form does each person get? Is it like Animagus where you don't choose, if you can't learn multiple? Can you choose what parts you change? for example, can you make yourself have a wolf's head, claws, tail, senses and Strength, or choose to have a Wolfs Body, or maybe have just the paws, or the legs? Oh, Another thing: you state that the Beast form would be, using your example, a Dire wolf. Do any Magical effects come from that? For example, I've heard of Dire Wolves able to turn incorporeal. Or, another example, in LOTR their Skinchanger (essentially what this is, without the halfman idea) had extremely thick fur that could serve as armor. what of that kind of things will you incorporate into these animals? Otherwise, looks good.

The map's don't have more than the capitals but I like the idea of multiple cities. But would they be like sub-HQs?

I was thinking that two post in between the forms with at least three days before you can change again. Maybe a limit of two or three transformations?

I was thinking more like the old Hobbit RP. Their was Good and Evil, but then you could still attack, say, the Dragon HQ if you were the Goblin HQ. Basically, each HQ would be a city, and the others in their cities are technically allies. Might not work, but you could probably make it fit.

No, I was think it was a hereditary magic. I was thinking that while you're in the human form you'd have heighten senses based off you the animal you change into. IE: I could track somebody by smell alone. That sounds cool, sure I like it. Weapons the could be used in any form?

Ok, maybe not a snake, but what about dragons, crocodiles, Bats, and other animals? I mean, with some of the things down below, it might make sense to limit it, but why just those 5 specific animals. We don't even have any real differences. No tiny mammals, nothing that can fly (birds were quite common in Ancient Egyptian god forms), nothing with particularily good swimming ability. Ok, sounds good. What does that mean? Do you choose your forms or not? what does it being hereditary magic have to do with this question? Is that your explanation for why you don't choose your forms? While this makes sense, again it doesn't fit my question. My question was whether or not you can choose which animal parts you get when you turn halfman or not. Awesome. So, Dire Wolves can turn incorporeal, Dire Bear fur is like armor. . . Wolverines, Foxes and Boars I haven't heard of in Dire forms or as Skinchangers/animagus/were-creatures. Wolverines, it would make sense, are immune to poison, Foxes could be super stealthy, Boars. . . But yeah, what powers would you then grant boars? I mean, Super speed, super durable skulls, always able to summon two knives from nowhere (unless a tusk is broken off the animal or Halfman form), What? assuming you're asking what I think you are (a.k.a. what do you think about weapons that could be used in any form), Then I would say that, for example, if you have a one-handed mace, if your Halfman state sends you to the size of a bear, then the weapon would grow while in your hand, but would do nothing if you turn into a full Dire-Bear.

I was trying to base Del'Jor off vikings and the Nordic area/time period. But I do see the need for diversity, how about we add a turtle or Komodo dragon and maybe a Falcon? (My family said to add a shark) Sorry I was thinking of lore. I think it sounds good. I've read a book series with wereboars and other animals, but none of them have special powers. Maybe for Boar they could be able to charge at something at high speeds, like a human/wereboar cannonball?
MAybe weapons and stuff like clothing just disappear when your in the Beast Form?

MAybe weapons and stuff like clothing just disappear when your in the Beast Form?Makes sense, I definetely see that in the choices. Komodo Dragon and Falcon are good. a Dire Dragon (Beast form of Komodo Dragon) can have Fire breath personally, Falcon can get up to speeds of 200 Mph without high altitudes sounds good. I would say shark, as it fits the group you're imersonating, but it has the same problem as the snake. as for the Boar, that sounds good. It sounds good, yes but what's the answer? Do you choose or not? (I'm talking more about people who learn they magic during the RP, rather than start with it, as people who start with it will get to pick just because it's probably important to their character's personality/style of fighting/backstory.) Yeah, when in Beast Form is dissapears, in Halfman form it grows/shrinks or whatever with you.
